Meet Troldtekt at SCHULBAU 2022 in Cologne and Berlin

Find inspiration for sustainable schools with a healthy indoor climate at this autumn’s SCHULBAU trade fairs. In both Cologne and Berlin, you can see a selection of Troldtekt acoustic panels and hear inspiring talks in the ‘Experten Lab’.

Twice this autumn, SCHULBAU opens its doors to inspiring trade fairs. Here, architects and decision-makers will find the knowledge and inspiration they need to create healthy and documented sustainable schools. In Germany alone, it is expected that more than EUR 40 billion will be invested in schools between now and 2030.

Troldtekt has a stand at the trade fair, and is also giving expert presentations at both events this autumn:

  • Cologne: 28-29 September 2022 at Palladium – find Troldtekt on stand 29
  • Berlin: 23-24 November 2022 in Loewe Saal – find Troldtekt on stand 38

Distinctive design and carbon-reduced new product

Troldtekt’s stand shows a selection of our acoustic panels. The panels, made of wood and cement, are particularly popular with schools in northern Europe. Among other things, because they combine superior acoustics and a healthy indoor climate with characterful design.

The stand is displaying examples of Troldtekt’s design series. Here, longitudinal grooves or special patterns and shapes add a stylish touch to ceilings and walls.

You can also see the new Troldtekt acoustic panels based on the patented carbon-reduced cement type FUTURECEM™. The panels, which have won both a Green Product Award and a German Innovation Award as well as other awards in 2022, have a carbon footprint that is 26 and 38 per cent lower than the carbon footprints of Troldtekt based on grey and white cement, respectively – measured throughout the entire life cycle of the acoustic panels. 

The entire series of Troldtekt acoustic panels in natural wood/painted in the standard colours white, grey and black has been certified at Gold level according to the sustainable Cradle to Cradle design concept. 

New knowledge and inspiration in the Experten Lab

At the SCHULBAU trade fair’s Experten Lab, visitors can be inspired and learn about different aspects of school architecture. A variety of presentations and panel discussions will be organised daily.

Troldtekt is doing Experten Lab presentations at both trade fairs this autumn:

  • In Cologne, the theme is ‘Wie sich Schulen nachhaltig bauen lassen – Best-Practice-Beispiele aus Deutschland und Dänemark’. Here, our Head of Sustainability and Communications, Tina Snedker Kristensen, will be on stage.
  • In Berlin, the theme is ‘Schulen ästhetisch und sicher gestalten’. On this occasion, Mario Siebert, project consultant at Troldtekt GmbH, will give a talk.
