Acoustic panels with reduced carbon footprint nominated for Green Product Award

The new Troldtekt® acoustic panels based on the cement type FUTURECEM™ have been nominated for the Green Product Award 2022. The global award honours innovative and sustainable solutions that shift the market in a green direction. Anyone can vote for their favourite up until 31 January 2022.

“Let’s design the future together.” This is the slogan of the global Green Product Award. A total of 100 products have been nominated across 12 categories. One of these is the new FUTURECEM-based Troldtekt acoustic panel, which is entered in the Building Components category. 

FUTURECEM is a patented cement type with a 30 per cent lower carbon footprint than traditional cement. Measured throughout the entire life cycle of the acoustic panels, Troldtekt based on FUTURECEM has a carbon footprint that is 26 and 38 per cent lower than the carbon footprints of Troldtekt based on grey and white cement, respectively.

“The new acoustic panels will be available for delivery from February 2022.
