Troldtekt design series: ‘Solution of the Year’ for residential construction
Troldtekt’s design solutions series took the Solution of the Year award at the Callwey ‘Wohnbauten des Jahres 2022’ award show in Munich.
Each year, publisher Callwey honour property developers and architects by designating the 50 most beautiful multi-storey residential buildings in the German-speaking part of the world. The competition also highlights the best solutions of the year by suppliers of materials for residential construction.
Troldtekt’s Cradle to Cradle-certified series of design solutions was named ‘Solution of the Year’ in the ceilings, walls and flooring category. This took place at an award show in Munich on Monday 10 October, based on a vote and the opinion of a specialist jury.
“Troldtekt design solutions are an obvious choice for private homes, as the series makes it possible to combine good acoustics with distinctive design. We’re delighted that the jury has recognised the aesthetic and practical benefits of our solutions, and we take great pride in accepting the Solution of the Year award,” says Steffen Riedmann, sales director at Troldtekt GmbH.
The sky’s the limit
Troldtekt design solutions are acoustic panels featuring grooves or special patterns and dimensions that create the impression of a continuous surface on ceilings and walls. In Germany alone, the design series has previously received an ICONIC Award 2019, a German Design Award 2020 and an award at Die schönsten Restaurants & Bars 2021, also presented by Callwey.
Since then, two new solutions have been added to the series in spring 2022: Troldtekt v-line 1way and Troldtekt v-line 2way, which feature discreet v-shaped grooves cut into the surface. These two solutions are suitable for homeowners who are after an acoustic ceiling with continuous lines.
In addition, 2022 has seen the launch of Troldtekt acoustic panels based on the cement type FUTURECEM™, which has a significantly lower carbon footprint than conventional cement. The design solutions series is also available in variants based on FUTURECEM.
