EPD Denmark has published new environmental product declarations (EPDs) for Troldtekt acoustic panels. The carbon footprint of the panels has dropped by between 12 and 20 per cent since the last EPDs were issued in 2021. Optimisations in cement production in particular have contributed to the reduction.

Troldtekt A/S has just released its 2024 report on environmental, social and governance (ESG) results. The share of renewable energy and carbon-reduced cement used in the production of acoustic panels both increased. At the same time, new initiatives have helped strengthen safety and the sense of community at the factory.

Ida Lundsteen, the face behind the Instagram profile @indtaenk, was looking for a good acoustic solution for her new modern farmhouse near Holbæk. After a visit to Troldtekt’s showroom in Copenhagen, Ida chose white-painted Troldtekt acoustic panels.

From July 2025, Danish buildings will have to meet stricter CO2 requirements. Among other things, there is now a separate limit value for emissions from the construction process. Material waste that is returned and recycled does not add to the carbon footprint of the building’s LCA. Here you can benefit from Troldtekt’s return scheme.

In March, Troldtekt A/S further strengthened its customer service capacity. Building engineer Morten Bundgaard Andersen has joined the technical support team. Accessibility and personalised consultation are key priorities for the team, which finds that customers have to navigate more complex requirements than ever before.

Both a building's users and its builders developers have a good reason to get excited about the new Troldtekt Plus 25 panels. This specially developed acoustic panel sets a high standard for both sound absorption and building efficiency.

Architecture is also about experimentation. This was evident when 50 budding architects participated in the Paraply Architecture Workshop in Copenhagen. The focus was on creating creative and climate-conscious projects based on residual and recycled materials, including Troldtekt acoustic panels.

Troldtekt’s CSR report for 2023 has been honoured in the best class – Excellence Class – at the ESG Transparency Award ceremony. The German consultancy firm EUPD Research is behind the award, in which Troldtekt scores high on good corporate governance practices, among other things.

In collaboration with North Trade House, Troldtekt ensures that contractors and timber merchants can take back clean construction site offcuts and waste from Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool panels. The returned material is used as a resource in new cycles.
