Michael Heeager Nystrup becomes new CEO at Troldtekt, where he will be leading the global expansion of the Danish acoustic panels. He has solid experience with global industrial sales and business development – most recently at LOGSTOR, which is also part of the Irish Kingspan Group.

This year, international umbrella organisations for sustainable building are again drawing attention to the need for a green transition. This is happening as part of the World Green Building Week in September. In Germany, DGNB is coordinating a digital action week – and as a partner, Troldtekt is giving a presentation.

For the third year running, Troldtekt has been recognised as one of the best Danish SMEs at communicating about social responsibility. Global Compact Network Denmark and FSR – Danish Auditors are behind the ‘SME COP list’, which was published at an event at Vækstfonden. 

On 26 August, Troldtekt GmbH was presented with the HRH Crown Prince Frederik International Business Award. The award honours Danish companies’ foreign subsidiaries or partners who promote Danish exports. The criteria include having a strong business model with sustainable solutions.

Troldtekt acoustic panels based on the cement type FUTURECEM™ are among the winners at raumprobe Materialpreis 2022. The award honours outstanding and innovative building materials. With the award comes a place in raumprobe’s ‘LeBox’ concept, which involves sending a ‘black box’ of samples of building materials to 100 architects.

Eighteen teams of university students from all over the world are competing at the Solar Decathlon Europe 2022 in Wuppertal, Germany. The goal is to design and build the best solution to tomorrow’s urban challenges. Troldtekt is a partner for the competition and is sponsoring one of the projects.

On 8 July 2022, the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB) is holding its Sustainability Day event in Stuttgart, Germany. Troldtekt is partnering for the event, which also marks the German Sustainable Building Council’s 15th anniversary.

Consultants and project owners are now able to download environmental product declarations (EPDs) for eight different types of Troldtekt acoustic panels based on FUTURECEM™ cement. The life cycle analyses show that the panels have a reduced carbon footprint.
