Acoustic solutions for BREEAM certified buildings
How Troldtekt® contributes to BREEAM certified construction
When a building is to be BREEAM certified, it is a plus that Troldtekt cement-bonded wood wool is documented as free of harmful substances, that the wood in the acoustic panels comes from responsible forestry, and that EPDs map the environmental footprints.
Working with Ramboll, we have prepared a pack of documents to make it easier for auditors to calculate the specific contribution of our products to the various BREEAM criteria.
Troldtekt can contribute to criteria that make up approximately 10 per cent of the points
BREEAM certification manuals are divided into nine scoring areas, each of which includes a number of criteria. Innovation is a tenth area without criteria, but that can earn extra points.
Troldtekt contributes to five criteria across four areas. The criteria to which Troldtekt contributes positively account for a total of just over 10 per cent of the points in the overall certification.
The table is based on BREEAM Europe Commercial 2009 – offices.
Please note that Troldtekt cannot fulfil all of the criterion's points, but that the acoustic panels have a positive impact on the overall criterion score. Troldtekt’s contribution will be project-specific.
