Top design combined with healing sources

In recent years, the former Kurhotel Wittelsbach in Bad Füssing, Lower Bavaria (Germany), has transformed into a first-class wellness, design and thermal hotel.

Troldtekt acoustic ceilings are the natural choice when wanting to ensure superior acoustics in, for example, hotels

In the heart of the spa resort Bad Füssing in the Lower Bavarian district of Passau, guests can indulge in the modern, luxurious wellness hotel Wittelsbach while enjoying idyllic nature. Opened in 1981 as a spa hotel, the house, built in classic Bavarian style, was one of the first top hotels in the town. The development and transformation into a first-class wellness hotel began in 2018 with the acquisition by the Lealahabumrung family, who have since invested heavily in the hotel’s future.

Healing thermal springs and sky sauna

The spacious and stylish rooms and suites now offer the highest level of comfort and leave nothing to be desired. Just like the breathtaking thermal and wellness area with a sauna landscape. The healing water from Bad Füssing sources flows directly from the source into the indoor pools and into the heated outdoor thermal pool with a large sun deck. The sky sauna with starry sky and glass front on the sixth floor is particularly impressive, offering a spectacular view of the greenery and over Bad Füssing.

Modern wellness area with elegant design

The newly designed sauna and wellness area also includes a steam and biosauna, infrared heated cabin, a swimming pool with thermal water, whirlpools, a meadow with parasols as well as a fitness and rest room with state-of-the-art ventilation and air conditioning technology.

In the wellness area, light stone floors and walls painted in subtle colours are combined with sophisticated wallpapers with nature motifs. High-quality double and single bunks with a natural wooden base invite guests to linger. Indirect lighting elements emphasise the relaxed feel-good atmosphere. In line with the design concept, dark green Troldtekt ceiling panels were installed on the ceiling, which, with their sound-absorbing properties, ensure good acoustics in the rooms equipped with hard surfaces and help to create a good indoor climate. The wood wool panels can withstand high humidity and high temperatures and are therefore also suitable for the hotel’s wellness area in the most humid rooms, such as the pool area.
