Mirabelle Spiserìa all day long
At Mirabelle in Nørrebro, restaurateur Christian F. Puglisi has changed the concept from a bakery to an all-day restaurant and wine bar in the Sicilian tradition.
You can still start your day at Mirabelle with breakfast or brunch with a particular emphasis on egg dishes. Later on, the restaurant serves pasta and sandwiches, while in the evening you can choose from a set menu or à la carte. Christian F. Puglisi himself is from Sicily, so the restaurant is now a more direct reflection of his southern Italian roots. The wine list consists exclusively of Sicilian wines, while ingredients such as lemons, capers and almonds are used in many dishes. The focus continues to be on good, simple ingredients, which appeals to the critics. The website states: "Spisería is an attempt to fuse contemporary Copenhagen all-day dining with the Italian trattoria". Christian F. Puglisi, who is both a chef and restaurateur, also runs Bæst and Rudo in Copenhagen.
Recycled and rustic materials
The layout is informal, with tables of different sizes and bar stools at the counter. The floor is very eye-catching, with a beautiful black and white pattern. The lamps are all different, but white, and can be moved around as needed. The exterior wall is exposed brick with simple wood shelves. The rustic and muted look extends to the ceiling with Troldtekt lys natur panels and the interior design by ATM Design, who have a flair for combining the refined and the rustic – and at the same time creating a friendly atmosphere. The sense of authenticity is also elegantly enhanced by the interior, with recycled materials and Troldtekt ceiling panels complementing the strong focus on quality, organics and local raw ingredients.
