Hunting lodge in the woods
Surrounded by extensive woodland, the newly renovated building has been transformed from a farmhouse into a modern holiday home with historic charm.

It would have been obvious to build a new property, but carpenter Per Jensen Martensen was able to envision the qualities of preserving the original house and recreating the place's charm. The exterior of the house has a thatched roof and has been carefully renovated. Inside, the renovation was more extensive than originally planned, and it's clear from the result how much work the owner has put into it.
There is now space for five bedrooms and a large, cosy living room connected to the kitchen. Here, the ceiling has been removed to create a vaulted ceiling with exposed old beams. A fantastic space where the loft area unifies the interior into a well-functioning whole.
Decorated with warm and vintage materials
The floors in the rooms are laid with recycled wood, while new full-length wooden floors emphasise the shape of the living area. Old bricks from the property have been cleaned and bricked up in the inner gable to make a kind of decorative space. With the original beams, plank flooring and worn bricks, the place has the character of a historic house.
All ceilings in the holiday home feature Troldtekt based on FUTURECEM in the colour clay. First and foremost, the choice of ceilings provides good acoustics for all rooms, but it is also a climate-sensible choice, as Troldtekt based on FUTURECEM is a panel type with less cement and more clay. The panels are also painted in the colour clay, which gives the rooms a warm, calm atmosphere. The choice of the same ceiling in all of the rooms creates a pleasant unity that supports the hunting lodge style.
